Class : Introduction to Metal Embossing -Saturday, May 24, 2025
Our morning starts by creating a sampler card by introducing you to a variety of metal embossing tooling techniques in a nutshell. After lunch we will apply your new skills to create a lovely pewter art "canvas". You will have a variety of designs to choose from.
You will learn engraving, low relief and high relief embossing as well as lettering on metal and how to use stencils and texture plates and wheels. You will learn about fillers and how to apply a non chemical and chemical patina. We will look at options for adding color to your artwork if that is your preference.
If you are a newbie to metal embossing, this intense workshop will introduce you to a whole new world of magic art metal and if you have done metal tooling before, this workshop will refresh your metal embossing skills and take it to a whole new level of inspiration! All supplies provided.
