In this two day workshop students will create 12 small 3.5 inch panels with pewter and polymer clay using two of the fabulous Artfoamies Succulents Stencils designed by Red Tin Roof. You will learn how to use the two stencils on lead free pewter sheet using the Big Shot embossing machine and adding hand embossed textures, tooling and oxidizing patina. You will create clay tiles using the stencils to transfer a low relief design onto polymer clay. You will make your own succulent molds as well as do clay hand building, applying paints and texturing techniques to create a ceramic look finish.
All supplies are included as well as the Artfoamie Arizona and Phoenix stencils. Students will have a choice of applying the panels to a wood canvas ( finished with text tissue paper collage and paint techniques) and a cube, or a larger wood canvas only that will accommodate all 12 panels.
