The Captive Queen online workshop will be part of Session 2 : beginning July 16 – August 26, 2019
The Captive Queen Project starts by us creating a paper-mâché-bird with basic supplies. Our bird queen will be clad with silver leafing, and a beading mosaic and epoxy clay technique, will shape her wings and legs.
The pedestal with rounded feet boasts a silver leafing technique and the each of the four sides will be decorated with embossed lead free pewter sheet. The metal embossing techniques detailed on each side of the cube, includes engraved and embossed lettering, high and low relief embossing, as well as a paint, ink and chemical oxidizing patina.
- Workshop Duration While a physical art retreat workshop may last a day or two, an Artful Gathering workshop allows for SIX whole weeks with access to your workshop videos/materials and your instructor. We offer an additional two weeks for video review.
- Interaction. During these six weeks you can go at your own pace, interact with your retreat mates, and you can ask your instructor questions inside the classroom.
- Video Information. All video content and materials are accessible on the first day of class, 24/7. Some instructors will add bonus content at their own discretion.
- Kits As a convenience, I will be will offering a kit which can be purchased at an extra cost and while supplies last. The class does come with a full and detailed materials list for students who wish to source their own materials.
